Options for Independence

We had a great afternoon today. I got a call from a friend who said there was a carnival going on at Merlin Olsen Park. We went down to check it out. Options for Independence is a way to help people get back on their feet and the carnival was for publicity. It was a dollar a person, and every person got a lunch, balloon, popcorn, snow cone, hats, prizes...and a lot of games. I should have taken my camera there because Katie had a blast going down a blow up slide! Rachel did get her knee scraped up and refused to smile for a picture, and Sarah was so exhausted when we got home she went right to bed. David and Katie were the models with the lute we got!

Moose Tracks

On last Saturday morning, at about 12:30 am, I got a call from my Dad. I was sure someone had died, and I think we're lucky no one did. He had hit a moose on his way down from Logan Canyon. He was driving home from a boys camp and the moose came out, Dad swerved, but the moose went the same way. The miracles are...no one was hurt...except the moose and the car was undamaged besides the windshield and drivers side rear view mirror. Dad is a miracle!

There's Only One LAGOON!

So, my brother Joseph had a company Lagoon Day, and we got some discount tickets. David has a bit of a weak stomach, so he stayed home with Sarah. Rachel, Katie, and I had a blast. We went with a lot of my family. My parents, Carla, Joseph & Jenn, Mel & Dave...and their families. I got to ride on two grown up rides, but it was fun anyway.

Unspeakable Gratitude

I'm grateful for blogging, because if I was talking, I would be incoherent for crying. David just got a call from CES and he has been hired as a Seminary Teacher! We are so excited, we can hardly stand it. We don't know where we are going yet. We are just so grateful for answered prayers, and all the experiences we have been through these past few years to bring us to this spot. Prayers are answered, and miracles happen, we know it!

Sleep Praying

We wake the girls in the morning for family scripture study and prayer. Katie would sleep until noon if I let her, but she also wouldn't go to bed until midnight. Anyway, we woke up this morning to have scripture study and she slept right through it, then we said it was time to pray, and we found her like this when we finished the prayer...I guess its getting through, right?

Memorial Day Weekend

I'm a little late, but we went and visited David's mom on Memorial Day Weekend. We had planned on swimming, and going to parks...but the weather did not cooperate. So, the girls ended up coloring and playing with Grandma-Nana. David and I did a lot of shopping, and not so much buying. We did get a bike for Rachel. She loves it, and Katie is excited to have Rachel's old bike...Katie was sick of the tricycle.
