Happy Birthday to Me....Late

I was going to write a blog on my birthday, but I never got around to it. So, this is my birthday picture. I look so much younger and cuter with my cute girls. My brother Joseph told me that when he was 27, he was much older, ha! David had a great birthday party for me. He came home early from work and made dinner. Then he got all the birthday balloons together and set them up outside on a board he'd prepared, and got out the BB guns. It was really fun! The girls would tell me which color to shoot, and most of the time, that's the one I got. Happy birthday to me!

Happy Sarah, Mad Sarah

This is Sarah's new face. She gives often, even if nothing is wrong, and especially when something is wrong. But the two pictures were taken pretty close together, so she does it for her own entertainment also.

Hey Mom, I'm Finished!

I try to have the girls eat until they've finished their plate. I just want them to be full, and if I don't have them eat everything, then an hour later, they're asking for more. So, last week, I gave them their sandwiches and I left to go check on Sarah. I came back and Katie was already done with her food. "Hey, mom, I'm finished!" she said with a sly little grin, then I looked down at her plate and noticed it was an inch off the table. The pictures tell the story, but I did laugh pretty hard at her deceitfulness. We'll have to work on the concept of deceiving, but I did get a laugh at least.

Fairy Tea Party

My sister Carla invited us down to Provo for the Fairy Tea Party at the Provo City Library. Rachel and Katie got to put on dresses, hats and fairy wings. They went with their cousin Brooke. Katie was a little confused when we got there because there was a fairy promenade, a fairy dance with ballerinas dancing all over, and we had to bow to the fairy king. Katie ask me where the food was. She is so my child. A party is no party without food! Once we got our little cheese and cookie snack, she had a look that everything was right in the world again.

Grandparents

I am so grateful for grandparents! This is my mom and dad with Katie and Sarah. Rachel and Katie think sleeping over at Grandma and Grandpa's house is the best thing in the world. They got to sleep over last week, and they couldn't stop talking about playing with Grandpa, and treats from Grandma. I love the time they are able to spend there and for the relationship they are developing with them.

Blogging - the in thing

I wasn't going to do a blog. But, I read a talk by Elder Bednar that its a good way to share my beliefs with anyone who might happen to drop by. My sister Melanie also said its a great way to keep in contact with friends and family...to know what everyone is up to. So, I have joined the bandwagon. Here we go!
